Turning breakthrough science into solutions that improve women’s lives

Women’s health remains one of the most overlooked areas in healthcare despite its enormous impact. Innovation in this field goes far beyond reproductive health. Women experience many diseases differently than men—including in cardiovascular disease, cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurological conditions—yet these differences remain too often under-researched and under-addressed.

At the same time, important discoveries are emerging from laboratories, hospitals, and translational research programs around the world. Too often, however, the scientists and founders behind these innovations lack the strategic support, mentorship, and networks needed to move their work forward.

WorldUpstart Impacts created the Women’s Health Program to help close that gap. We support early-stage founders and research-based teams building solutions across the broad landscape of women’s health, helping them move from promising science toward commercialization, partnerships, and funding.

What the Program Provides

Built on the model developed through our HiveBio pilot, the Women’s Health Program provides expert guidance on the challenges that shape early health innovation, including IP, regulatory strategy, reimbursement, commercialization, and funding readiness. Participants also gain access to experienced mentors, strategic partners, research institutions, and funders who can help move promising ideas closer to real-world impact.

Globally Connected, Locally Relevant

Women’s health innovation is emerging across many geographies, but the support systems around it remain uneven. Our program is designed to be globally connected and locally relevant. Depending on the goals of our funding partners, we can support founders across borders or focus program delivery on a specific region, ecosystem, or community.
